Holding kegels for longer

I can’t seem to hold a kegel for more than a couple of seconds tops. Is there something I’m doing wrong or do I need to keep at it to continue building my pelvic floor muscle strength?

When I initially started, it was strenuous to try and hold it for three seconds. A few weeks later and I’m comfortably holding it for 10 seconds at a time. Try to squeeze in some practice reps whenever you find yourself sitting.

Same here. In the beginning I’d start to shake after a few seconds. Now it’s no problem to hold 15-20 secs. Feels much stronger too.
Don’t forget reverse Kegals too!
