My urologist set me up with a Pos-T-Vac unit. It was not cheap, if I remember it was around $299. It will give you an erection. It comes with a penis ring that once you have a full hard on you slip of the tube and onto base of your shaft to prevent blood from flowing back out.
Does it work? Indeed it does. Are there some issues? Indeed there are! The two major issues I had are these.
First, if you have ever cut off circulation to your leg and it went to “sleep” imagine that happening to your penis. It seems to me that once that ring is in place you have 10 minutes, maybe 15 to get where you are going or the sensation will be gone and you will never get there.
Second, when you are done that little ring will rip every hair from your pubic area and it hurts like nothing else in this world to get off. It would be easy to say the solution is to shave clean. Once you shave clean and try to go back, there will be a period of time when the stubble will be a problem. Same thing for a female that shaves clean.
One minor issue I had was when I first started “erection training” I let it develop too much suction and I had a lesion on the shaft of my penis that took about 2 weeks to heal back up. My fault there, not the pumps.
All that said. I had the weirdest erections when I used mine. The length was never what had been normal, but the girth would fill the tube from one side to the other.
Further review, my experience is with a long time spouse. It would be the most awkward thing on earth to try and use in a dating environment.

I’ve not used a pump, but I use silicone rings to restrict blood flow, and to the first response regarding hair pilling… he’s tight!!!
However of you use lube it’ll make it much easier!!
Or if you can wait till you shower to take it off, soapy water helps a lot.
Also- I think if you go numb after 10 min, the ring may be too tight… I’ve experimented with a dozen different rings from different online retailers…
