Not really sure what the purpose of the wax and wane exercise - I already know I can get an erection when masturbating. It’s getting an erection without masturbating that I need to work on. Anyone got an explanation for this exercise?
I think the idea is to be comfortable and not panic when you’ve been hard and then go soft - you can be hard again. i. e. get ok with varying levels of arousal when masturbating , and then when you’re with someone you may be less inclined to feel you can’t get hard again if you have got soft (or softer) in an encounter. Recognizing that arousal levels vary throughout encounters depending on what you’re up to - e.g maybe hard whilst focus on you, then soft or softer when focus on partner and then get hard again when focus returns to you - wax n wane.
I think that’s the idea and many don’t find the exercise that easy actually.
