Waxing and Waning exercise

I have done this exercise 3 times now. The first time was ok, I got it done. Since then though I had a tough session where I struggled to get it up the second and third time. The last session was just an outright fail! I could not get fully erect and started feeling the disappointment and pressure to get it done. I think I need to approach this exercise differently but I am not sure what to do. I don’t want this therapy to be doing more harm.

I would say try not to let “getting hard” be the key, try to enjoy or rather experience the touch.

Maybe it’d be a good idea to mix wax & wane exercise with soft-penis pleasuring? Do the soft-penis pleasuring instead, putting no pressure on getting hard, and then if you do get hard after a while, then you can try stopping and continuing with wax & wane.
