So I just ran into the concept of mindful masturbation. Gave it a go, what I found was eye opening. When it comes to the sensations, I am almost completely cut off. I’ve relied on imagination and visual stimulus for so long that I’m not in any way attached to the sensations of sex. I think going forward getting back into developing those sensations will really improve sex as a whole.

Same here! Sensate focus is a helpful exercise for this
One thing I noticed too is that if I try to imagine visuals or scenes while being sexual with someone then it’s way easier to lose my erection, because it’s almost like I’m trying to constantly trying to stay aroused. But if I just focus on touch then I stay harder way longer
