Kegel exercises

Hi, wondering if anyone knows what is the best way to perform kegel exercises. Standing up, sitting down or lying down?

I do it sitting down on the edge of my bed, trying to keep my back straight. it also helps me to have a finger or two on the perineum so I can feel the contraction of whateverโ€™s there going up while I start holding the kegel.

I actually posted a while ago that I try to do the exercises in different positions. And you can see that some are harder than others. I think that could help your brain learn how to control those muscles in different circumstances.

Childs pose (yoga) works well to start then try different poses as you get used to the feel of it.

A pelvic floor physiotherapist recommends doing the exercises standing up because you want to be working the front of your pelvis.
