I don’t usually have a problem getting an erection when laying down on my back or side but when I stand up, I usually can’t get an erection.

Similar situation here. I’m reliable in either position but definitely more when I’m standing. I might try masturbation standing up for a while to see if it helps.
Would love to have more sex standing up though, always looks great in the movies
I saw a physical therapist for pelvic floor examination in regards to ED. She explained that the pelvic floor muscles that maintain blood flow for erections have to work harder in standing.
So if you have weakness in some of your pelvic floor, it makes sense that you would lose blood flow standing more so then if you’re laying down.
I’ve been working on the specific exercise she gave me and I’ve noticed a tremendous improvement.
Pelvic floor strengthening might be worth checking out. If this is something you’ve noticed about yourself too.
My physical therapist used bio feedback and really showed me what specific muscles are weak and focus on doing my exercises.

Man, I. wonder if this might be covered by my private insurance which generally covers physiotherapy. For some reason, the concept of physical therapy for ED never even crossed my mind.
I definitely think it is worth a shot to do some of the strengthening exercises I was taught by my pelvic floor physical therapist. She showed me that one of the muslce just behind my left ball wasn’t firing well especially compared to the muscle on the right side. I do kegels with a focus on making sure my left ball raises up during the squeeze. I do 10 reps and squeeze as hard as I can then I do 5 reps but hold for 20-30 seconds. I started laying on my back and am working in sitting and standing. Standing is way hard, so it makes a lot of sense.
