Has anyone else developed PE out of nowhere? My wife and I don’t have as much sex now that we have a kid, and over the last year, I’ve started to get really nervous about sex. It’s like we have it so infrequently that I get nervous about performing, and now I cum within a minute or two. To get back into the groove, we schedule weekly sex nights, but that hasn’t fixed it. I’ve stopped watching porn (I was using it when I was feeling untouched and lonely, and I worried it may have trained me to cum too quick), but that hasn’t changed anything.
It’s wild because this has never been a problem, except when I was like 17. I feel like I’m relearning how to have sex as I’m nearing 40 and it’s honestly driving me into a deep depression.
So, has anyone felt similarly? Is this just aging? What do you all do?
Stop watching porn for one, two really express this to her and she should support it if she actually loves you, and take it as a serious concern. Also, if you went from infrequent, to now scheduling sex.. yeah it’s gonna take awhile to get into the swing of things. You aren’t going to perform right off the bat. I went from no sex for like a year or so… to now having sex again.. and sometimes I get in my head about it. Which is natural. Like anything else, you gotta hop back into the swing of things, add some foreplay, try to relax and enjoy it, have her verbalize something’s like how well you’re doing etc. it helps. Just a few tips/things to think about.

Thanks, friend! Ive cut out porn, which was the easy part. I just got a remind myself that these things take time. I appreciate the input!
Ironically, I started scheduling jerking off a day before sex to make sure I didn’t come too early. Worked pretty well for awhile, but then just developed into ED because I started using porn so much. Not sure what your refractory time is, but maybe “clean the pipes” like they say in Something About Mary.

Thanks for the advice! Pipe cleaning may be my go-to for a bit; I’ll just try it without porn. If it goes as well as it does in There’s Something about Mart, it could fix my PE and my hair care issues.
