So I’m on day 4 and just went through the “sensate” guidance and wasn’t even able to get myself into being open about the benefits of this technique. I don’t currently have a steady partner and the self-sensate exercise really seemed ridiculous to me and I felt frustrated before even trying it, like… what’s the point here? And also with the explanation of the exercise, there wasn’t any clear objective. Should I get aroused? What if I don’t get aroused? How do I know I’m doing this right? I’m extremely results oriented and I just can’t see this practice helping me without a partner and I CANNOT release the expectation that this exercise should somehow be arousing in some way yet I’m convinced I’ll just spend 20 minutes caressing myself while my penis just sleeps… I’m in a difficult spot here and it’s very frustrating.
Man, go step by step:
a) is your problem physical or phycological, determine this first.
b) if phycological - Mojo is built on that… If it is not enough go to therapist.
c) if physical you may want to go to doc for a check.
Quiet simple… don’t overcomplicate. it is same as solving 2 equations 2 unknowns.
It’s def a psychological issue 100% and not trying to over complicate it. The mind is a powerful thing and right now I’m just really frustrated.
I get this too and really struggle with consistency with self sensate
The third lesson felt powerful for me. The idea that if you have psychological issues, you need to work on your relationship between your mind and your body. They are communicating in a toxic way and you need to fix that before you can be successful. The exercises you’re working on are what this is all about.
I also understand what you’re saying, I’m working through those same issues.
No, it’s not that simple. I have no gilrfriend for ages so i built up a habit to masturbate to porn. I probably lost connection between my body and mind and i need to work on it. I stopped using porn and sensation focus seems to be the one i need but i don’t see results coming from that exercises yet. I understand the theory, but practice is different. I feel numb during the sensation exercise. While level 1 doesn’t require an arousal, it looks like you should have one from level 3. What if you can’t get it? Do i need to go for a therapy, or i need to practice level 1 and 2 for weeks/months? These exercises are built upon each other so if you are stuck, there is no clear advice what to do next. I understand that different people need different amount of practicing to achieve the same but it’s really frustrating when you are stuck there and the app suggests you should already be able to do that…
