Box breath immediately helps, for masterbation at least

Today I practiced box breath while masterbating (without porn) and was able to go 5 minutes without ejaculating. When I felt the sensation of getting close to that point of no return, I focused entirely on the box breathing and was able to resist the urge to let the release take over. Let me add, I signed up yesterday. Excited to try with my wife now and see if this translates into longer more enjoyable sex. I’m sure it’s not that simple but I am feeling motivated to see the process through.

With or without porn, I can usually get the job done in less than a minute. I think this is root cause of my issues. Since I was 15 years old, the purpose of masterbating was to ejaculate as fast as possible and get that release. Now I am paying for it. Wish me luck!

I’ve been working on exactly the same thing. Before this app, I was masturbating almost daily using porn and I could ejaculate very quickly, sometimes even when my penis wasn’t fully hard. Now, I don’t use porn, I don’t necessarily masturbate every day and take my time, practicing the different things I’ve learned here. And when I cum, it feels much better. Sex with my partner has improved some, but still not quite at the level I hope to be. I’m still working on my overall physical and mental health, duet, exercise, losing weight, all that. It’s a process, but it’s good to see some improvement.

In my recent experience doing the sensate exercise (level 1) with my wife, I was really enjoying it but also a bit in spectator mode. I tried adding in the box breathing just out of curiosity/ habit (I do box breathing quite often these days!) and before I even realized it I was hard. Went from like 25% to 90%. Rather surprised me, pleasantly.
