Fap or No Fap?

My fiancé just moved out. We are working through this but I am trying all I can do. I am asking from your experiences should I do no fap? I have cut out porn completely for a month. I masturbated a couple days ago because my therapist recommended it. I have been reading both good and bad things about no fap. I am wondering if I should try no fap or not. I am fine trying either way and feel I flat line a bit during my month of no porn and 3 weeks of no fap but I just want to do what is best for me moving forward. Any guidance is appreciated.

Personally I find gentle and mindful masturbation every few days keeps the libido alive. Not sure if there is any real evidence behind nofap tbh.

It all depends, if you have been watching porn for a long time and long periods of times, then is good to cut it out completely, the libido is reduced between week 3-5 it recovers and the process to heal your dopamine system can take a few months, hang in there!

No fap is non-sense in my opinion. There is no scientific evidence that it really helps. The case for no porn is much stronger, but also most experts do not consider porn bad automatically. I do recommend masturbating few times a week, ideally using only vanilla fantasy and mindful touch.

At its core, no fap is a bit of a misnomer. It is not semen retention, it’s avoiding PMO (Porn Masturbation Orgasm).

So congrats! You successfully gone no fap and are on the way to being a fapstronaut. It comes with fantastic mental benefits as a result of the changes in your brain chemistry

Anyone recommend if I can masterbate to images of women (not nude or graphic)?

How about trying masturbation with no porn? Try to do it all with imagination. I think the problem is, we get conditioned to respond to the porn and after a while it means you can’t respond to anything else. But you can undo it by training yourself to focus on your fiancee instead.
