Does quitting porn help?

Does quitting porn and excessive masturbating help with being able to maintain my erection during sex? Sometimes I think it’s directly related and sometimes I don’t. If so, how long did it take to return to normal after quitting?

I quit for three months and it did make it alot easier to get hard and feel aroused. Although recently my experiences havent been good so it didnt fix my issue per say but i do think quitting has its benefits for sure.

I quit cold turkey. Used to do it 3-5 times a day to porn but since I stopped and since doing the program daily for over 30 days. I noticed a massive change in my hardness and my desire to be intimate with other humans.

I was watching porn like 4-5 times a day and decided to quit cold turkey. I haven’t watched porn for over a week now. Although it’s a small period, I’ve already noticed that my arosal improved, now I can get a semi just from thinking about something without any visual stimulations.

It makes a MASSIVE difference, but it may take longer than you’d suspect. I’d highly recommend “the great porn experiment” TED talk - they talk about the impacts porn has on our brain.

The good news is - it’s reversible.

I just this morning reached 150 days without porn and am extremely happy I did so. Erections are easier, and very frequent now when I’m relaxed.

I’m at least once a day fapper with porn. Usually at bedtime. Sometimes in the morning. For years….

I usually can stay hard enough to finish myself with or without pills. Plus a silicone restrictor ring.

With the new girlfriend I’ll get hard during foreplay but it usually goes away and I end up getting her off several times with oral and my hand.

Anyone give up
Porn but not fapping - and still have success with a partner??

I just watched the TED talk.
It confirmed my suspicions and gave me hope.
He stated that a 50yo can get his mojo back quicker than a 20yo!!!
I’m now certain that porn (& my reliance on my own grip) are the bulk of my issue.
Now quitting porn—- that’ll be the hard part. No pun intended….

It’s hard but every time I’ve quit is been MUCH better and honestly I feel a lot better. Than I do it again and I go back to doing it too much.
