Diagnosing the ED issues - pelvic floor

Sorry for the lengthy post!
For a while I’ve had intermittent erection loss but wasn’t really a major issue until my recent partner. She would get noticeably frustrated when I would go soft, usually when I was on my back (recently discovered positional ED was a thing). It didn’t help when she assured me she’d never experience that before, really made me feel broken and insecure. This of course made the issue worse. The doctor wasn’t much help, just prescribed me cialis and said it was in my head.

We recent broke up and this resulted in me crazy stressed and a lot of that stress went straight to the pelvic floor. I was tensing all day and night, sending me to toilet and giving me pain. This of course created more anxiety. Killed my erections, not even any morning wood.

I did a lot of digging on medical pages and forums to figure out how to best approach the issue. I ended up seeing a pelvic physio and was diagnosed with an overactive (and probably weak) pelvic foor. I have a managed plan of stretches and breathing to retrain the brain to stop tensing the pelvic region and already seeing results.

I’m wondering if anyone else has been through the overactive pelvic floor and strengthening process. How are you going with it and how long until you started seeing results? Also, if anyone else is experiencing similar issues, some advice to not do kegels until you learn to relax the pelvic floor, you’ll likely just set yourself back even more!

I have recently realised I have the same issue. For a while now I’ve been doing kegels to strengthen thinking that was the only issue, however, after trying the reverse kegels I noticed pretty quickly that my erection was harder & also noticed if I do them whilst peeing I can empty my bladder better. So makes sense to me to either just do reverse or make reverse the majority of my kegels.
