So I’m confident in the bedroom and I can manage to have sex. Me and my partner have a high sex drive but I lose my erection a few times during sex. We don’t take it too seriously but I’d like to fix the issue obviously. I’m on Sertraline and have been for 4 years. ( Coming off it gradually as we speak) I think it’s definitely affected me, mainly because i find it very difficult to ejaculate. It’s very rare that i do and so that gets in my head and is one of the causes I believe in losing my erection. Hoping this app will help me stay out of my head so much and coming off the tablets will hopefully help me ejaculate again.
Anyone have similar issues?
Yes - I recently also cut back on sertraline. It’s now becoming easier to cum during intercourse, oral sex, handjobs etc. I have started taking St. John’s wort which is great since don’t need prescription and find that it is also helping to promote calm mind and ease anxiety. I still will lose erections but at least now I find when I get close to climaxing I actually can finish. Took a couple of random quickies with my wife when kids were not home to realize this part of me again!
Hi there,
I tapered off earlier in the year. Mojo and the app have definitely helped me out as I found it difficult to cum whilst on Sertraline. The exercises helped me stay out of my mind and get back in tune with my body. Try some lazy yoga or somatic exercises also to help managed stress/anxiety so that you can keep those in control once you are no longer taking Sertraline.
One thing I found is give yourself a little time after you are completely tapered off and the immediate side affects clear. It did take me a little while longer to notice the ability to cum to be come more regular.
That’s really helpful! Thank you. Looking forward to getting back in the game
Thanks for this! I practice yoga and meditation and I’ve found this has been a massive factor in my reduced anxiety as I taper off. I’m completely off the meds now for 1 week and feel great. My partner’s been on holiday for the past 2 weeks so looking forward to seeing any changes albeit maybe too soon
Hey mate, good to hear your doing well and feeling great. All the best when your get to see your partner again. Remember be kind to yourself.
