Do kegals really work to delay ejaculation?

I’ve been reading conflicting articles on the web about this. Some say kegals can cause premature ejaculation and some say they help. What is the truth here??

feels like they’ve been slowly helping me. Also might just be placebo and I’m just getting more confident, since this can also just be a mental fix. just gotta relax and enjoy it. there can be off days but ive seen some slowly bure surely results with my partner time wise

My current takeaway is this:

Kegels, done daily, help tone the pelvic floor. Stronger/and “easier to flex” because you’ve been working it and have a mind/muscle connection. Kegels, during sex are like a tool to pull yourself back from the brink of PONR.

Reverse kegels, done daily, create a relaxed muscle that is less likely to have spasms and be in a contracted state during sex. Daily also helps create the mind muscle connection. Reverse kegel, during sex, should help keep your arousal level consistently lower by preventing the PC muscle from starting its contractions/spasms which cause the ejaculation.

So two techniques that provide support for the same situation, but in different ways
