Confused about Kegels…

Hey everyone, I need some advise/context. I’m mindful we are told to do lots of Kegel exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor. Although this sounds simple enough, I can’t help but think ‘if you asked me to cum quicker/to speed up my ejaculation (eg if having a wank), then I would naturally squeeze my pelvic muscles and contract my legs/buttocks etc to do so’

So why are we training to squeeze these muscles? The very muscles I would squeeze if I wanted to speed up a wank. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Any advice would be welcomed! And any advice about how you squeeze (or relax) certain muscles to delay cumming would be amazing.
