What do you want to change about your porn use? (Part 2)

I want to be more in control of my porn use. Something that is celebrated and enjoyed as a treat not an anxious escape from negative emotions, stress, and boredom

Control when I use it rather than let it control me. Often times I get nothing done cause I’ve masterbated the day away

I don’t want to watch it

Using it for quick release instead of building arousal

I want to change my porn habits because I think it feeds into body dysmorphia

I used to watch porn and liked the videos where it appeared that the women were well respected. I would try to figure out if they actually liked it, or if they were just acting. I stopped watching it a while ago because I don’t want to spoil a ‘sex window’ of opportunity with my wife during the week (i.e. nobody home, kids asleep etc…) I would feel very guilty if I could have had sex one more time that week but wasted it on porn.

Stop as it affect the way I view my self

I will stop searching for porn when I am bored, and use it at special occasions. Also I will be more diverse in what I watch!

I want to use porn when I feel that I am horny and want to have an orgasm instead of using it to check if I can get an erection or as a gateway from sex

Watch porn like once a month

I don’t watch porn regularly enough so don’t think this is the origin of my problem

Just want to enjoy it without any guilt

I use it as stress relief mainly- would be good to find other ways to address this

maybe start watching it a bit more, i don’t watch any

Watch it for the pure pleasure of it, no guilty feelings or like you’re cheating on your partner

Play video games or practice dying instead. Then I can still get dopamine.

Rely less on visual stimuli

Watching more variety but less of the time. And relying on imaginative arousal and partner arousal more

maybe try a different kind like written or audio, it might be fun

I’d like to find other ways to self soothe
