For context, I’m single, not on the dating apps, and attempting to put myself out there in real life situations.
Today at a coffee shop there was a cute girl sitting at the table next to me. I was nervous to make a move. I took just a moment to do box breathing before starting a conversation, and we ended up having a great conversation for an hour.
Ultimately I learned she had a boyfriend. But that is ok, because I succeed in approaching a cute girl using breath work to ease my nerves. Cold approaching girls can be triggering for me, just like sexual situations, so I feel good knowing that breath work techniques helped keep me relaxed and clear-minded.
It’s not a major success, but even a small win like this makes me feel like I am doing the right things.
