What did you observe about your monkey mind?

I think music helps calm my mind, but letting my mind do its thing then visualizing the thoughts from the outside was interesting. Gave me a different perspective.

Feel relaxed a lot of different thoughts ran thru my mind

That was different than other meditations. I liked it.

Helped so much the first time I fell asleep, had to redo it to remember aha

Fell half-asleep sitting up, kept nodding… By the end I had this weird dreamlike sense that all the thoughts in my head were just like the bits of glass in a kaleidoscope, sloshing around as my head moved… I guess giving me the sense that all of them were just junk, nonsense, not to be taken seriously.

I didn’t really feel anything but i will do it a few more times.

It calmed the rest of my body down.

A lot of ACT concepts in this one. ‘Observer you’, cognitive defusion. I liked it.

i was thinking about a lot of different things at once, but i was able to relax physically. maybe not so much mentally.

Physically relaxed but mentally all over the place

My thoughts were racing and it needed something to fixate on and it got a lot of satisfaction from fixating on random things. Because I was probably in a fight or flight state by letting my attention spiral

It jumped around to a lot of different things. One of my favorite songs was even playing in my head. It made me feel like I was somewhere else.

I’ve done this a bit before so there is some familiarity

My monkey mind kept going back to sexual fantasies, but this clearing of overthinking helped me zone in on the fantasy were usually its small snippets of images

Seems to be getting random thoughts about work, items to do, remembering something, some questions.
