Viagra causing back pain

After divorce and being celibate for several years, I found a girlfriend. Our first time attempting sex I could not get and stay hard. Since then I have been taking Viagra 50 mg. I have also developed back pain by my kidneys. That’s worse when I wake up in the morning. I went to the doctor to make sure it wasn’t a kidney infection. Totally forgot about the Viagra so didn’t tell them about that. Was all clear. She said it was muscle pain and she’d go away in a few weeks. It hasn’t. I’ve had it for about a month and a half. I have tried reducing the dose to half 25 mg a few times and that helped the first couple times. And the soreness was much less but then the last time I took it the was about normal.

I got my Viagra through Hims and they seem to think that it’s unrelated. I have sex about twice a week evenly spaced and I don’t want to stop using it because every time I’ve tried twice since that first time I failed at penetration.

I have generic Cialis ready to use but I’m scared it will cause worst back pain.

I’m just starting this program and hope it will help, but in the meantime I don’t want to stop sex or Viagra as our relationship is in the hot and heavy phase and we’re both enjoying it.

Does anyone have any similar experiences or suggestions?

I can relate to the viagra but I have not been experiencing any sort of pains/soreness. The reason why i’m here is to get myself off those ED meds to i’m not always thinking when about what time I need to pop them and rather just enjoy the moments as they come up. Just wanted to let you know i’m with you on that front .

I should add, I am over 50. I work out with weights and there may be correlation between working out as the week I took off from weights which also coincided withe trying 25 mg of Viagra had reduced soreness as the week went on.

I was taking Viagra for a while and every time I would get a bad headache. I switched to Cialis and the headaches are minimal. I am also over 50. I do not take a high dose either, only 5 mg at a time and it seems to work well.

Do you take 5 mg on an as needed basis or daily?

I have 10 mg pills and cutting one in half and trying may be a prudent first dose to try. Although I am getting conflicting ideas on whether the pills can be cut. Mine are generic and I.cant see a reason why I shouldn’t (not time release, etc)
