My partner and I tried Sensate Focus today. It was a good experience for both of us, and we plan to do it weekly.
However, the guide in this app does not mention that the receiver should speak up if the toucher does something physically or psychologically uncomfortable. In our case, this was an innocuous style of touching that gave the receiver the heebie-jeebies, or touches that were slightly ticklish.
Perhaps this is obvious to most, but it was not obvious to us, and we would have had a better experience with that explicit instruction in the guide.
Generally, I feel more clear on Sensate Focus after consulting resources online.
For discussion purposes, I’ll ask: how has sensate focus gone for others?
